Why is the Hanuman Chalisa traditionally recommended when Mars and Saturn are afflicted?
In Vedic astrology, Mars represents land, energy, courage, power and action, while Saturn represents karma, career, discipline, responsibility and the refinement of our actions. When Mars is afflicted, it can indicate challenges in directing our energy—such as anger, impulsiveness or misuse of personal power. From a karmic perspective, this may reflect unresolved patterns around how we use our strength. Saturn then teaches us through responsibility, patience, and the consequences of our actions. Lord Hanuman represents the perfect balance of immense strength with humility, discipline and selfless service. Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa with awareness can therefore be viewed not merely as a remedy but as a practice of transforming power into purposeful action and refining karma through devotion and service.
The Hanuman Chalisa can be experienced more deeply when it is recited with the right intention and awareness.
Do you simply recite the Hanuman Chalisa… or do you understand the deeper message hidden within it? 🚩
It is believed that when the Hanuman Chalisa is recited with a certain intention, awareness, and devotion, the experience can become much deeper.
Before you begin…
Take a deep breath. Quiet your mind. And don’t just read the words—feel them.
Then notice something profound…
Throughout the Hanuman Chalisa, Lord Hanuman repeatedly appears as one who helps and serves others. He gives everything for his beloved Lord Rama.
But does he ever ask for something in return?
No.
Perhaps this is one of the deeper secrets of Hanuman’s strength—
Service without selfishness.
Action without ego.
Devotion without negotiation.
Now look at one simple line:
“Vidyavan Guni Ati Chatur”
It is not merely praise of Hanuman.
It can also be seen as a message for us—
Seek knowledge.
Develop your virtues.
Use your intelligence wisely.
And make your words powerful enough to connect, not divide.
And if you are reciting the Hanuman Chalisa with a specific intention, try one simple practice alongside it—
Try to help at least one person selflessly, according to your ability.
Because perhaps the real spiritual practice is not only in reciting the words…
but in living their meaning.
Every Chaupai of the Hanuman Chalisa carries a deeper message—a clue, a teaching, a way of looking at life.
In my next post, we will uncover the deeper meaning hidden within each Chaupai.
🚩 Jai Hanuman. Jai Sita-Ram.
